PROGRAMS

The Bachelor of Ifá Studies provides a foundational study of the theology, history, context, and message of the 256 Odù Ifá Sacred Scriptures. In addition to mastering the 256 Odù of Ifá, the program also trains graduates in the mechanics of Ifá Divination, and it teaches them how to communicate the messages of Ifá. This major prepares graduates for the advanced Ifá ministry positions of Babaláwo and Ìyanífá. It also prepares graduates for Master’s level studies in the Ifá Literary Studies, Òrìṣà theology, and related fields.

The Bachelor of Òrìṣà Studies provides a foundational study of the theology, history, context, and message of the 16 Odù of Ẹẹ́rìndínlógun (Sixteen Cowries). In addition to mastering the messages of the Òrìṣà as contained in the Sixteen Cowries Sacred Scriptures, the program also trains graduates in the mechanics of Sixteen Cowries Divination; it teaches them how to communicate the messages of the Òrìṣà. This major prepares graduates fort he advanced Òrìṣà ministry positions of Babalórìṣà and Ìyalórìṣà. It also prepares graduates for Master’s level studies in Òrìṣà Studies, Òrìṣà theology, and related fields.

This program trains professionals who can respond to the growing demand for herbal experts. This is not a clinical degree program and does not qualify graduates to treat patients medically. By studying with master herbalists, students undertake a thorough and scientifically rigorous education. Graduates complete the program in four years and are prepared to enter the herbal products field directly, begin work as botanical experts or pursue further education in related areas.
