A unique program combining traditional Yorùbá herbal science with modern botanical expertise — covering Òrìṣà healing traditions, plant knowledge, preparation techniques, and herbal product development.
The Òrìṣà Herbology program is the only degree of its kind, bridging the ancient Yorùbá tradition of herbal medicine (oògùn) with contemporary botanical science. Students learn to identify, cultivate, harvest, and prepare medicinal plants used in Òrìṣà healing practices. The curriculum covers the spiritual dimensions of herbal work (including the relationship between specific herbs and specific Òrìṣà), practical pharmacognosy, sustainable harvesting practices, and the business of herbal product development. Students graduate with both traditional knowledge and modern skills.
Graduates are prepared for roles as herbalist and traditional healer, botanical researcher, herbal product entrepreneur, ethnobotanical consultant, sustainable agriculture specialist, and community health educator.
